2. Compare/contrast the goals and strategies of the Union and Confederacy.
3. Evaluate major events of the Civil War.
4. Be able to explain what happened at Gettysburg

Classroom Work/Homework for this week:
All classes will complete Chapter 8 in the Interactive Notebook
By the end of this week students will understand how to respond to this Essential Question for this lesson:
What compromises emerged from the Constitutional Convention?
By the end of this week, I will Be prepared to respond to the following questions:
What worried James Madison about the future of the United States? Why did many members of Congress fear a strong central government?
What were some of the powers of the government? What were some of its limitations?
Homework for Wednesday:
Constitutional Convention Delegates
Students will need to "become" a delegate for one minute on Wednesday.....That means you will need to study your delegate: Know who he is and where he is from and what kind of government he wants......for one minute!!!!
